The Quiet Partner Behind South Florida’s Rug Businesses

Most of the rugs we wash go back out under somebody else’s name. That’s the job — and we’ve built the plant, the process, and the reputation to be trusted with it.

Our story

Why does a wholesale-only rug plant exist?

Wholesale Rug Cleaning is a family-owned and operated company working out of a rug washing plant on W Sunrise Blvd in Fort Lauderdale.

We noticed something years ago: all over South Florida there are excellent businesses — carpet cleaners, dry cleaners, rug dealers, designers — whose clients hand them rugs they have no safe way to wash. The choice was ugly: turn the job away, or risk a client’s heirloom on equipment built for wall-to-wall carpet.

So we became the third option.

Since 2016, the plant has washed rugs for the trade: quietly, on wholesale terms, under our partners’ own names. Every rug is treated as its own job — inspected, dye-tested, washed on both sides, dried in controlled air, and checked again before it leaves.

The products we use are biodegradable, eco-safe, and hypoallergenic. No bleach, no harsh chemicals — a rug that goes back into a client’s home should be genuinely clean, not chemically loud.

How we think

What keeps trade partners coming back?

What we hold ourselves to

  • Evaluate first — a firm figure before any work
  • Say so when a rug isn’t worth cleaning
  • Blind service — the partner’s brand stays front
  • Each rug treated separately, never batch-run
  • Answer the phone like a small family company, because we are one

What we walked away from

  • Coupons and teaser prices that change at the door
  • Blind quotes over the phone
  • Competing with our own trade partners for their clients
  • Washing a rug we know shouldn’t be washed

Fort Lauderdale, FL

A real plant, with the doors open.

We’re at 6761 W Sunrise Blvd — not a call center, not a broker forwarding your rugs somewhere you’ve never seen. Walk the wash floor before you send us a single piece; partners are welcome Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.

If you’d rather start with a phone call, that works too. You’ll get a person, not a menu.
